For me, effective presenting is about connecting with the audience in an engaging and meaningful way. I have delivered over 200 internal presentations, numerous talks at scientific conferences, and engaging outreach presentations for the general public—one of my most memorable being at my former school in Adelaide. A key to successful communication is understanding the audience and tailoring the information to their level; for example, providing a simple primer or analogy on General Relativity, imagining space as a flexible rubber sheet and gravity as deformations in the space, is often essential when discussing gravitational waves with the general public. I put considerable effort into crafting my presentations, ensuring they are worth the time and attention of my audience. Comfortable and confident in front of people, I strive to make every presentation both informative and enjoyable.
